We are entirely qualified surveyors whose aim and interest is to establish the cause of damp and timber problems in properties, also recommending the types of treatment required to solve these problems.
Some contractors today will carry out a 'free survey'. Be aware of these as they may survey your property and diagnose the problem according to their line of business and to the services of their company. This may lead to unnecessary work, confusion about what problem actually exists and in some cases may not even solve the problem. The fact that we are independent means that we have no ties to any contractors and so have no financial gain from finding problems that do not exist. We will therefore assess the problem and come to a conclusion and recommendation completely independently.

We were recommended to have a damp and timber specialist look at the extent of the damp that our original survey picked up on and we could not be happier to have chosen Dave to do this.
Even before the survey was back with us, Dave gave us a quick overview of the issues and the general state of the property which put our minds at ease. Buying a house is incredibly stressful and this report was effectively make or break for us, so to get a heads up on the condition beforehand was really useful. The full survey that we received was well detailed, explained the issues faced and delivered in quick time.

When we got our building survey we had some issues that needed looking at and were quoted a huge sum for works needed, we brought in Dave & Ian for a second opinion. They were incredibly helpful, got us booked in quick and gave us a summary of their findings right after their visit to put our minds at ease - the problems aren't nearly as bad as we thought! Dave put me at ease and got on straight away with the survey I needed. The report came back so quickly and over the weekend. Tanya Mead5 StarI had some damp concerns and i was really torn over getting a free survey done or paying someone i could trust. I'd heard horror stories of paying for a free survey and being told it was hundreds in repair. To avoid this indecided id rather go withsomeone i knew i could trust. Dave was so lovely and reassuring throughout his inspection. I had quite a few concerns with my house but he was really patient and answered every single one of my questions. It was definitely worth what i paid for. It turned out all that was really Needed was some plastering in some key areas and hed made a diagram to show me where if i decided to in the future.
