Not to be confused with other companies of a similar name. This is derby driveways and construction limited based in Ashbourne, with 2 blue and 2 orange squares as their logo. Resin driveway is good, gives the house a new look and freshens it up. Not sure how long it will last yet, as just been laid. Slightly different to sample colour, but I expected that could happen. I wasn’t warned of this by the company, who had lost my contract with the colour I had chosen anyway, so I had to choose again. However, I wouldn't use this company for work ever again. Very chaotic, no organisation, came on wrong day when I wasn't in, so I still had parcel box out, which was damaged and they used a digger to take away 8 of my shrubs, which I was supposed to be keeping. Knocked off cost of shrubs from bill luckily, but not parcel box. 1 subcontracted worker took 24 hours (3days) to lay border stones. Total work took nearly 2 weeks. The gulley drain that I had been quoted for to fit under my downpipe, to take the house roof water to the drain passing under my driveway, was replaced with an aco drain (basically a gutter), which I was told would be just as good. Company tried to fit very quickly and shoddily, leaving big gaps, not levelled properly and not able to flow water properly, have been left with best fix. All the way through, belittling, degrading comments and conversations with me, unprofessional behaviour, became intimidating behaviour when manager decided job was finished part way through and wanted paying immediately. Left with gaps between my step and border stones, gaps in border stones, dried tarmac and resin stuck on stones, chips in some stones, workers were all chain smokers so cigarette butts everywhere, empty cans of silicone left, and plastic gloves. Seems poor quality, except central resin part, which looks good, but way too stressful an experience, not worth it, especially with what they are charging. Even neighbours kept coming over to check I was ok due to the shouting and intimidating behaviour from the company director and the worker and their shocking, degrading behaviour towards me. After arranging payment, I was hounded by phone calls from multiple mobile numbers to say the money wasn’t coming quickly enough over a weekend. If you don't mind what drive you get, don't need drainage, or flowerbeds, you don’t mind them coming unannounced, you don’t mind about quality, excessive prices and you’re not female, I think it would work. Otherwise, avoid.
